Our Pastured Chicken
Our pastured birds are allowed to live like chickens. They explore, run around, forage for food, improve the land they interact with, and live interesting lives. This makes their taste and texture better than any other chicken.

Day Old Chicks
Day old chicks come to us from an Ontario hatchery. They spend the rest of their life here on our farm. When they are very young they are adorable with yellow fuzz and no feathers.

Pasture
Once the chicks are feathered they're put on pasture. They're able to forage, run around, and dust bath. They are moved regularly in rotation time improve the soil and spread their manure around as fertilizer while giving them fresh clean pasture to enjoy.

Growth
For the first few weeks of their life while they start to grow their feathers, they are coddled bring them in and out of shelter depending on the weather while still getting them used to being outside.

Processing
When it comes time for processing we take our birds to Morrison's Custom Poultry, a provincially inspected abattoir specializing in poultry.
