Ontario's Top Lamb
Our farm produces the top lamb in Ontario. From the animal welfare, land management, to taste and quality we can't be beat.
Our flock of polled Dorset x Rideau sheep are raised100% on pastured all year long. We use intensive rotational grazing throughout the growing season and rotationally bale unroll throughout the winter. The are moved daily and sometimes twice daily depending on the time of year giving them a healthy nourishing diet. Because of our regular interaction with the sheep, they are all quite friendly and curious around people. They flock acts to restore land through our management strategy, improving soil and water quality, sequestering carbon, and creating wildlife habitat as we produce happy animals and delicious meat.
Our lamb is tender and juicy with not too strong of a lamby flavour that turns many people off lamb.
Breeding
Our sheep are bred once a year. They are not bred unless they are at least 1 year old so they can reach full maturity before they are asked to carry young.

Growing
The sheep spend the summer eating grass, growing, and enjoying the summer days together. All the lambs are naturally weaned, staying with their mothers well after they are done drinking their mother's milk.

Lambing
Lambing happens in the spring out on pasture after the weather has warmed up. The babies are up and wandering around the pasture with their mums from day 1.

Processing
When it comes time for processing, we take our lambs to Simcoe Street Meat Packers. They are a provincially inspected abattoir which specialize in lamb.
